Fish & Loaves is an all-volunteer organization. More than three hundred volunteers from area churches, community organizations, and businesses serve without compensation, apart from the pleasure and pride in knowing that they are making a difference for their Downriver neighbors. There are hands-on volunteer opportunities at Fish & Loaves for almost all ages either in our store, warehouse, or office.
Volunteer time can be scheduled on the basis of your convenience and the
needs of the pantry in any given week. Church, community, and business
groups can also request special projects suited to both their abilities
and availability.
New volunteer orientations are
held every Monday,
11:30 a.m.
Volunteers learn how their personal gifts and
talents can serve current pantry needs. They also receive a tour of the
entire facility and have an opportunity to schedule their first
