Fundraisers & Benefits for Fish & Loaves
The Fish & Loaves Community Food Pantry hosts several special events during the year to raise funds to help cover the cost of food purchases for our client choice pantry. Fish & Loaves appreciates the support of Downriver residents, church groups, civic organizations, and community leaders in not only publicizing these special events, but also supporting them through ticket purchases and participation. In addition, local businesses and community leaders have independently hosted various benefits on behalf of the pantry. Every dollar raised for Fish & Loaves enables us to combat hunger, helping more Downriver households in a time of great need. Please contact Fish & Loaves to learn more about participating in upcoming Fish & Loaves events or how you can host your own special event for Fish & Loaves.

Santa’s Magic Forest
Santa’s Magic Forest, the Downriver’s finest holiday display, returns to the Activity Pavilion Heritage Park in Taylor each year on the Friday after Thanksgiving and continues to welcome visitors until two days before Christmas. Acquired by the City of Taylor from the former Hudson’s Department Store collection, the holiday display features almost a hundred animatronic figures set in fun holiday scenes. Santa and Mrs. Claus are on hand to both greet children and to take photos with them. Local churches and chorale groups provide periodic entertainment on Friday nights, Saturdays all-day, and Sunday afternoons. The City of Taylor generously makes Santa’s Magic Forest available to Fish & Loaves as a weekend fundraising venue to help us purchase food for Downriver families. Fish & Loaves volunteers staff the holiday display at Taylor’s Heritage Park with all proceeds benefiting the pantry. All proceeds from the low-cost admission tickets for adults and kids directly benefit Fish & Loaves. For more information about visiting or volunteering call Fish & Loaves (734-442-0031
or 734-374-3906).
